You are bidding on a truly classic 1937 Chrysler Airflow C17 4Dr sedan. Title VIN C173571 and 93,590 on the odometer. A wonderful road car with beautiful lines. One of Bob Bakewell’s favorites in his collection. An older restoration with green exterior paint and matching cloth interior, wide whitewalls, a straight 8 and overdrive. Your chance to make a unique addition to your collection. Car was driven to a National Airflow meet and the National WPC meet in Omaha. This vehicle appeared on the cover of the WPC News Magazine on October 2004. Last driven in 2013.
This vehicle is part of the Bob Bakewell Collection Estate Auction. Bob was an avid collector, member of several antique car clubs, and served as a judge at several antique auto shows. Bakewell was referred to as Nebraska’s “Chrysler Man” in the November 3, 2011 edition of Old Cars Weekly magazine. Bob passed away at an advanced age, but most of the cars in his collection were drivable when parked and always stored indoors. His family is selling 20 cars from his collection so that others may enjoy his hobby and legacy.
